The 2022 International Consortium for Schizotypy Research (ICSR) Conference was hosted at Marburg University, Germany from June 2-4 2022. The conference was conducted in a hybrid format involving on-site and online presentations. Dr. Raymond Chan and his team members from the Neuropsychology and Applied Cognitive Neuroscience (NACN) Laboratory, CAS Key Laboratory of Mental Health, Institute of Psychology have made 4 oral presentations at the ICSR conference.  More than 100 scholars and postgraduate students had attended and presented for this conference in person or through online platform.

At this conference, Dr. Chan was invited to chair a symposium on “Neuroscience of schizotypy: From imaging to targeted interventions” and made a presentation on the topic of “Affective forecasting in schizotypy: An affective cognitive neuroscience approach”. Other speakers of this symposium also included scholars from Marburg of Germany, Philadelphia of United States, London of United Kingdom, and Ms. Junyan Ye (doctoral student of Dr. Wang Ya of the NACN Lab).  Moreover, Ms. Ling-ling Wang, Qian Ren, and Yi-ming Pan made oral presentations on range-adaptive coding, emotion regulation in childhood schizotypy, effort-reward imbalance, and social affective forecasting in schizotypy.  Drs. Chao Yan and Rui-ting Zhang, alumni of the NACN Lab, also presented their most updated schizotypy findings online.  Dr. Rui-ting Zhang Ms. Hui-xin Hu, Mr. Xiao-dong Guo and Mr. Dun Ruan also made their online poster presentations.

As one of the founding members of the ICSR, Dr. Chan also sat in the steering and leadership committee (online) and discussed with the committee members on the future plan of schizotypy research.  The International Consortium on Schizotypy Research was initiated in 2013 to reunite assemble the leading researchers in the field to form a collaborative consortium designed to foster cutting-edge research and development. The objective of this consortium is to provide a platform for data sharing encompassing psychometric, genetic, imaging, cognitive, affective and social domains. It further aims to provide new generations of scientists opportunities to integrate past insights to current and future scientific endeavors not only in the fields of schizotypy but also in schizophrenia research and health psychology more generally. The consortium has attracted over 100 members internationally, and has already published two special themes of schizotypy in Schizophrenia Bulletin, the flagship journal in schizophrenia research.
